OS Cafe – This friday in Groningen
OS Cafe is a fairly new project to promote Open Source usage in the north of the Netherlands. The first time it was organized was about two months ago in Leeuwarden. The program consists of two talks and time to socialize.
This friday, (21 April) the second OSCafe will take place. Location: Grand Cafe in the Pentascope building in Groningen (The Netherlands).
Talks:
- "The strategies of large software companies regarding open source" by Maarten Wijnen-Meijer
- "Opportunities for young, talented and intelligent northern entrepreneurs" by Sanne te Meerman
Maarten Wijnen-Meijer is from source21.nl which previously interviewed jdub on FOSDEM. I bitched on that site back then because the interview was only in WMV and QT format available. Fortunately they also provide Ogg Theora by now. But it still bitters my expectations a bit.
I hope the talks will be interesting. In anyway if its not, it will be next time! On the next OSCafe I will give an Ubuntu talk together with Dennis Kaarsemaker.
Anyway if your involved with open source you should consider to drop by. I'm sure it will be worth the trouble.
PS. Free drinks.
